Scope of Work
GMW (a LAWDC owned by Greater Manchester Waste Disposal Authority) provide disposal for municipal waste generated by nine Local Authorities. They also manage 26 HWRC's through out the Greater manchester area. Household waste includes bulky items that are not suitable for processing through the GMW operated treatment plants. JWS provides a process at the Material Recycling Facility for size reducing this waste stream and extracting metal and other recyclable elements. GMW are also responsible for providing recycling for over 100,000 tonnes of green waste collected each year. JWS supplement the collection of green waste providing land recycling and composting facilities for in excess of 50,000 tonnes each year. |
